Okan Cihangir
Izmir & Istanbul | Documentary Photographer
Okan Cihangir is a photographer who graduated from Marmara University's Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema and works in documentary photography. He studied cinematography at the Istanbul Film Academy. In 2023, he received a scholarship from Magnum and Fujifilm to study documentary photography with Emin Özmen and Cloe Kerhoas Ozmen. In 2025, he received a scholarship from "FotoGrafevi" and took a workshop with Nikos Economopoulos.
He photographs social, political and ecological events.
While he prioritizes a traditional photographic aesthetic, he is eager to work with various tools in the documentary field, such as drones, and thermal cameras.
